YoFiFest 2021 is happening from November 5 to 21, 2021!
Join us for our 9th Year of celebrating moving pictures, the people who make them and the fans that watch them. From our opening night Red Carpet Reception, through closing night's Audience Choice Awards Ceremony, YoFiFest is an inclusive atmosphere that welcomes and celebrates early career filmmakers, seasoned industry professionals, and everyone in between. We offer a full schedule of screenings, workshops, panels, networking opportunities and parties that honor and celebrate the independent, artistic spirit from around the world, and right in our own backyard.

The YoFiFest 2021 Health & Safety Policies
After much thoughtful consideration and discussion with City, County and State officials over concerns about the spread of COVID variants, this year’s YoFiFest will include the following safety measures for all screenings, workshops and events happening in-person on the festival campus:
The theater, atrium, and workshop areas have an upgraded MERV-13 air filtration system which is serviced regularly.
The theater will operate at a reduced capacity with social distancing.
Enhanced cleaning protocols for the theater, atrium, and workshop areas will be implemented.
Masks should be worn by all guests and staff while at the festival, except when eating or drinking in the Atrium lobby.
We require proof of COVID-19 vaccination paired with valid photo identification to enter the festival.
Proof of vaccination may include your original vaccination card or a legible photocopy; a legible picture of the card on your phone; the New York State Excelsior Pass or other official app. Results from COVID testing will not be accepted. We ask that you have your vaccine proof and photo ID ready to present at the door upon arrival. Patrons will not be permitted inside the facility without proof of vaccination, even if they have a ticket or pass.
Unfortunately, children under the age of 12, for whom there is no currently available vaccine, are not permitted to attend YoFiFest in person this year regardless of the vaccination status of their guardian.
The policies affecting our events are subject to change as health and safety circumstances require. Reasonable effort will be made to notify visitors of any changes.
The above restrictions are in addition to State and Local laws and regulations.
Like many other organizations, we are taking these temporary measures to protect our audience and our staff. This decision was not made lightly, but our community’s health and safety remain a top priority.
We recognize that these temporary policies limit access for some patrons, so we have made every film in our schedule available to be simul-screened online. This means you can enjoy the festival remotely via a livestream of what is happening in the theater, including both the film and the filmmaker talkbacks.
We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we continue to navigate the ever-changing COVID landscape. We’re all trying our best to get to the other side of this and are sure that by working together we will succeed.
